LINKA is designed in California and comes with a one-year warranty
It looks like one of those old ‘dumb’ bike locks, but it’s a lot smarter. No keys, just an app. As longs as you have your phone on you, the smart bike lock will automatically unlock when you approach it.
When you leave your bike, just double-tap the power button on the lock.
It also has an alarm. If someone tries to steal your bike, LINKA will send an alert to your phone and trigger a siren at around 100 dB to scare the criminal away.
The LINKA comes in two different versions. The LINKA LEO includes GPS tracking, should the thief not be scared away by the siren. The LEO is also a bit bigger and will fit on newer e-bikes.
The battery can be recharged, but it lasts for 16 months (Original) or 2.5 years (LEO), so you won’t have to worry about it every night. You’ll receive a notification in your app when the battery is running low, and even if the battery runs out, your bike stays locked.
For extra security, you can buy a chain and chain your bike to a pole. One end of the chain is then attached to your LINKA for extra security.
LINKA smart bike lock is approved by the insurance companies in the Netherlands.
