This skateboard, that’s not quite a skateboard, isn’t meant for doing tricks – although you can. This Onewheel+ XR skateboard will take you places.
It is a board that you stand on, but that’s where the similarities with an ordinary skateboard stop. It has only one wheel and it’s right in the middle, both over and under the board. It’s a one-wheeler, so obviously, they names it Onewheel.
The XR in the new version stands for extended range. It can take you up to 18 miles (29 km) with a top speed of 19 mph (30 kph).
To achieve the extended range, the board features a new battery system developed at Future Motion’s Santa Cruz, California headquarters using state of the art NMC cells. These allow the additional range with minimal additional weight.
Unlike other motorized skateboards, you don’t need a remote to ‘drive’. Just lean forward, like on a Segway.
Onewheel+ XR connects to the Onewheel App, available on iPhone and Android, allowing Digital Shaping as well as recording and sharing rides with friends.
You can customize the board with your favorite colors and accessories.
